If you're tired of poor service from your current telecom service provider but have not switched to avoid changing your number, you don't have to worry anymore. You can now leave your old service provider for a new one and keep the old number.

 Procedure for MNP :
Send an SMS from your phone to 1900. Your present company will reply with a unique porting code. Use that code while filling out a detailed form for the company you want to shift to. Within 48 hours, that company will take over all your cell services. The fee charge may cost you about Rs 19.

Your cell number will be switched off for only one hour. All bills after that are paid to your new company. You'll be stuck with them for at least 50 days before you can shift again, so choose with care. While you can shift from a GSM service to CDMA or vice versa, you cannot shift from one state to another.
"The circles don't change. If you are in Karnataka, you are a Karnataka subscriber. If you shift from one state to another, roaming kicks in, just like it does right now,"
While keeping in mind MNP, companies are coming out with best possible plans to attract customers. BSNL gonna offer free sim card + Rs. 100 Talktime + GPRS free depending upon scheme of indvidual.
Vodafone is planning to give 100 mins free to vodafone to vodafone calling.

That the US and the UK are the most popular destinations for management studies is not big news. But the findings of a survey conducted by the Graduate Management Admission Council (GMAC),which conducts GMAT,a B-school entrance test used globally, has thrown up some surprises.

Number 4 on the list of the Top 10 preferred destinations for B- school aspirants is India, with Canada at No.3.Israel and Spain are the other surprise entrants.According to experts,Indias foray into the elite league has a lot to do with the emergence of institutions such as the Indian School of Business,Hyderabad, which was ranked No.12 globally in the Financial Times (London) Global MBA rankings earlier this year. The IIMs,which use GMAT as an entrance test for their executive MBA programmes, are also responsible for Indias popularity.
B-school aspirants are looking at a return on their investment, and with the investment being lower for management education in India when compared to the US and the UK,the returns are higher, said an expert.

It's an exclusive ‘youth branch' to be set up by State Bank of India in Andhra Pradesh in a first-of-its-kind initiative in the country.

New concept
“This is a new concept and the idea is to project SBI as a bank for youth too,'' Mr Shiv Kumar, Deputy Managing Director, SBI, told newspersons after the formal launch of e-payment system for commercial taxes in Andhra Pradesh.

The proposed branch, to be set up in about three months, may have criteria such as age for opening accounts. “We were working on deciding an age bracket – something below 35 years of age,'' he said.

The nature of branding/naming of the branch is also being discussed. SBI now believes that a segmented approach to cater to different types of customers is the way to go.

Spinners Harbhajan Singh and Pragyan Ojha wreaked havoc on a turning track as India recorded one of their most convincing Test wins in recent times by thrashing New Zealand by an inningsand 198 runs in third and final Test to clinch the three-match series 1-0 on Tuesday.

Members and support staff of the Indian cricket team pose with the trophy after their win in the third Test against New Zealand at Nagpur.
Both Harbhajan (3/56) and Ojha (2/67) got appreciable turn and bounce as the Black Caps batsmen literally struggled to stay put on a track thatwas suddenly looking difficult to bat on. There was sharp turn on offer and someof the balls were also keeping low.

If Harbhajan and Ojha decimated the top-order, Ishant Sharma (3/15) and Suresh Raina (2/1) blasted out the lower order as New Zealand were all out for 175 in only 51.2overs.
